We are contracted with all major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company to verify that we are a participating provider prior to your visit. We will file claims to all PPO, Commercial and Medicare Supplementary Insurance Plans.
Payment
As required by your insurance plan, payments are collected at the time of your visit. Please arrive prepared to make your payment.
Self-Pay Patients
If you are paying out-of-pocket for your service, payment will be collected on the date of service.
GYNECOLOGY
Dr. Wendy Huempfner offers a full range of services to her patients. In addition to her integrative healing skills and techniques, she is a highly qualified surgeon with years of experience in in-office procedures and laparoscopic surgery. Some of her gynecological services are listed below:

Well Woman Care: Breast concerns including breast cysts, lumps, cancer, mammogram referrals, annual pap smears, follow-up of abnormal pap smears, in-office colposcopic treatment, contraception, permanent sterilization, diagnosis and treatment of sexual dysfunction

Infectious Disease Testing & Treatment: In-Office testing of and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, urinary tract infectious, common vaginal infections, upper respiratory tract infections, vaginal and vulvar infections

Diagnosis and Treatment of Masses: Including breast, abdominal and pelvic masses such as breast cysts, nodules, pelvic fibroids and ovarian cysts

Hormone Replacement: Peri/Post-Menopausal evaluation and ongoing treatment therapies for the mature woman

Gynecological Cancers: Diagnosis and evaluation of breast, abdominal, uterine, cervical, ovarian, vulvar, vaginal and anal cancers

Sexuality: Sexual evaluation, education and counseling throughout all stages of a woman's life cycle

Contraception: Including long-acting IUD and progesterone implants (Paraguard, Copper T, Mirena, Liletta, DEPO Provera), arm implant (Nexplanon), NUVA vaginal contraceptive ring, oral contraceptive pills, and emergency contraception; we also counsel on barrier methods, natural family planning and diaphragm fitting

OBSTETRICS
Dr. Wendy Huempfner provides prenatal care for women up to 16 weeks. During this time, our office can often see women much sooner than the busy obstetric practices in Tucson. We utilize on-site sonograms for accurate diagnosis and the convenience of our patients.
Our Obstetric Services include: Early pregnancy diagnosis and treatment, first trimester sonograms, ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage care, counseling for Advanced Maternal Age mothers, and pregnancy crisis counseling.
WELL WOMAN CARE
Well Woman Care encompasses many key areas including: breast concerns, breast cysts, lumps, cancer, mammogram referrals, routine annual pap smears, follow-up of abnormal pap smears, in-office colposcopic treatment, contraception, birth control pills, IUDs, NUVA Rings, permanent sterilization, diagnosis, treatment of sexual dysfunction and more.
BREAST CARE
During the annual Well Woman exam, Dr. Wendy Huempfner will examine the breasts and ask each of her patients if they have noticed any changes. If there is a concern, a referral to an MRI or mammogram center is made. Dr. Huempfner will discuss the results with each woman personally and assist with finding a trusted breast surgeon if needed.
SEXUALITY
Sexuality and Sexual Dysfunction are very personal topics for most women. Dr. Wendy Huempfner realizes this. She provides thoughtful counseling and effective treatments. Oftentimes, she finds that balancing areas that are in need of attention, can have dramatically positive effects on sexual issues. A Mind-Body-Spirit approach is especially valuable in this area of Women's Health.
HORMONE BALANCING & REPLACEMENT
A delicate balance exists in a woman's endocrine system. Dr. Wendy Huempfner takes into consideration many factors when helping a woman achieve hormonal balance. She offers a full evaluation and effective therapies for the perimenopause or menopausal woman.
Some of the conditions that can occur as a result of menopause or perimenopause are: vaginal dryness, low sex drive, hot flashes, breast tenderness, irregular periods, moodiness, urine leakage, urinary urgency, and difficultly sleeping.
SURGICAL SERVICES
Dr. Wendy Huempfner has over 25 years of experience using minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. Her years of experience have led her to become one of the most trusted gynecological surgeons in Southern, Arizona. She is also well-known for her sensitive approach to the repair of the structures of the vagina. She is affliated with both Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital and Tucson Medical Center.
